Red Penne Pasta

Simple and Easy Red Penne Pasta Recipe

Ingredients (for 2-3 servings):

  • 200 grams Penne pasta
  • Water as required
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon cumin seeds (jeera)
  • Salt
  • 3 chopped medium-sized onions
  • 3 finely chopped medium-sized tomatoes
  • 8-10 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon Red chilly garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon red chilly powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 3 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1 cube cheese
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon mixed herbs
  • 1 teaspoon chilly flakes

Method

Boil 4 glasses of water in a pan. After the water is boiled, add 1 tablespoon of oil and Penne pasta to the pan. Then add some salt to the pan and stir well. Once the pasta is boiled correctly, take out the cooked pasta in a strainer and immediately add 1 glass of room temperature water to the strainer. This prevents the pasta from sticking to each other.

Now, heat 1 tablespoon each of oil and butter in a pan. Once they are heated, add cumin seeds to the pan, and wait for them to get roasted. Then add chopped garlic to the pan and saute it till it is brownish. Then add chopped onions to the pan and saute them till they become light pink in color. Now add finely chopped tomatoes to the pan and let it cook for 2-3 minutes. Keep stirring the pan meanwhile.

Next, add turmeric powder, red chilly powder, garam masala powder, and salt to the pan and mix properly for 2 minutes. Now add red chilly paste and tomato ketchup to the pan. Stir for 1 minute or two, and then add 1/4 cup water to the pan and let it cook for 2-3 minutes. Now grate cheese in the pan and keep stirring till the cheese is slightly melted. Now add the boiled pasta to the pan and mix all the contents of the pan thoroughly. Next, sprinkle oregano, chilly flakes, and mixed herbs and mix well.

The pasta is now ready to serve. You can add some more grated cheese on the top for garnishing while serving.
